The first 3 days in the Rv

The 1st  3 days on the Rv trip
Mt Gilead Nc- Little Rock Ar     918 miles

This is the beginning of my month long Rv trip out west.I have already been in 7 different states. In Alabama we always go through a little town called Gordo. Gordo has a population of about 1700 people. I learned the town got its name by naming it after a battle called Cerro Gordo in the Mexican American war. We spent the night in Tuscaloosa Al. Now be move on to Starkville Ms. My brother is working for Mississippi State University and taking summer classes. We ate lunch with him at a  restaurant called Bin 612 in downtown. After we ate lunch we went to the Ice cream shop to go eat some amazing Ice cream. We were now back on the road heading towards Little Rock. We arrived in Little Rock last night at about 10:30 pm. I was so tired so right when we got to the campground, I helped my dad then went straight to bed.  This morning I woke up and ran 2 miles with my family. I then had breakfast after I ran. My Mimi made us some homemade bread for our trip. I ate that for Breakfast. I then went over to Little Rock Central High. Little Rock Central is really famous during the civil rights movement. In September 1957 nine African Americans people now known as the Little Rock Nine wanted to go to school at Central.  Central was an all white school. To get inside the school safely took three times (3 different days). The 1st 2 times people were calling the Little Rock Nine names harassing them. People were rioting and were involved in a mob of people. The police tried to keep these people from going over to the Little Rock Nine, but the police could not hold the mob back. Some people choked the African American people. Some people were also flying the southern flag used during the Civil War. The final thing I did was I went to Bill Clintons Presidential Museum. I learned about his presidential campaign and his life. Regardless on who you support going to a museum about a president is really cool!

Next Stop- Oklahoma City
