Cotopaxi day 2
Today was the day that we rafted down the river. Our guides name was Blake. We rafted down 8 different rapids. My favorite rapid was the 3 forks rapid which was a cat 4 rapid. The CFS of the river was 4200. A couple of years ago it was a 6000 CFS (cubic feet per second). We got wet a few times going through the rapids. Also while we were rafting we went past our RV. After we finished rafting, our guide cooked us lunch. Both of my parents had chicken while I had steak. The food was really good. After we ate, we went back to the RV. We changed, walked Tilley, and we went to the train station. At the train station, we got our tickets to ride the train. Of course they spelled my moms name incorrectly. They spelled it Cassie not Kassie. The railway was right on the river. The river Gorge was closed because it was way too high to raft in. The rapids on the Gorge are mostly Cat 4’s and Cat 5’s. On the railway I had a drink that was lemonade mixed with unsweet tea. That was a really good drink. For the first half of our trip, sat in our seats on the train. On the final half of the trip we were on the open aired cart where you can see everything. Something else happened on the opened aired cart. Someone’s beer spilled on me on accident. His hat flew off of his head and he was trying to get it. However his beer came out and it got on me. Also on he ride I saw the tallest suspension bridge in the United States. We will be going there tomorrow! We also saw some gondolas going across the river. When we got back to the RV, we finished our Phase 10 game. I ended up winning Phase 10. We also had dinner. Our dinner was Ice Cream. We ate Ice Cream and played a game called Banana gram. Banana Gram is a game that you make a little crossword puzzle. Mom of course won every time we played. We finished the day off by watching our RV trip slideshow in Montana and Wyoming back in 2012. Tomorrow will be another day in the small town of Cotopaxi!
