Soccer time!!!

Nashville TN day 1

I began my day today by getting ready to go to Cheerio. First I went to Great Clips to get my Haircut. I also went to Target to get clothes ready for camp because the RV has not arrived yet. After we got all of our clothes, I found out the RV is on our way to Nashville. Mom and I then headed up towards Nissan Stadium. We saw people dressed up as Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton walking up toward our gate. We got to the stadium and headed up to our seats. So apparently USA does not care about soccer. How about having 47,622 people in Nissan Stadium. The highest in Tennessee soccer history! The bottom level was sold out and the club level was also sold out. However the top level was about 1/6 full. In the first half no goals were scored. In second half USA scored first in the 50th minute by Dom Dwyer. Dom was actually born in England. Dom moved here to America 8 years ago. Dom finally got his citizenship in the USA. Dom has played 2 games and has 2 goals for the country. In the 60th minute Panama struck back. Some more history about my family. My grandfather is a really famous painter down in Panama. He has painted pictures of things in Panama like the canal. Also my mom lived in Panama her 10th grade year with some of her friends that now live in the United States and Canada. The final score was 1-1. We stayed for half of the next game between Martinique and Nicaragua. I was cheering for the French territory Martinique. Martinique scored the 1st goal from a header. Even though there were no people that were actually from Martinique there, all the Americans were cheering for the underdog. A player from Martinique crossed someone up and everyone got crazy. I left at Halftime and when I got back to John and Renee’s house, I saw that Martinique won 2-0. The RV arrived in Nashville at 9:00, but it was not done there. We started heading up to camp and stopped about 60 miles out of Knoxville. Tomorrow I will be going to Camp Cheerio for my 7th year and t will be my last blog for this trip.

Another RV problem :(

St Louis-Nashville TN

This morning I woke up at Mary Kay and Johns house and my mom said that our slide for the RV would not come all he way in. So my mom, Tracy, and I went to Nashville in a car. We rode over some major rivers today. We rode over the Mississippi river, the Missouri River, the Ohio River, and the Tennessee River. We rode over all of those rivers in 1 day. We finally arrived in the Music City. We first went to a Mexican restaurant to eat with Braden. We then walked all around Nashville. You can see that every single restaurant/bar had some live music in it. We also saw some soccer fans. We of course saw USA fans and we heard some really loud Nicaraguan fans at a hotel. We then went to John and Renee’s house. I played some Akinator while I was there. I also met a dog that is named Diva. Diva is a dog that failed bomb class, so it will not be a police dog. Diva also is scared of new people so when we walked in the house, she ran all over the place. Diva finally calmed down. Tomorrow we will head to Nissan Stadium and watch some soccer games.

Its a Buffet kind of Day

St Louis Day 4

Today is our final day here in St Louis. Might as well finish it off to tailgate with the parrot heads. Jimmy Buffet is in town. Its time to tailgate for a concert! The tailgate begins with people walking past the RV saying it is a cool setup. Getting closer to the concert people said it was a cool setup then decided they wanted to take a picture on the porch of the RV. During the tailgate you can also see buffet flags after buffet flags all over the parking lot. The very first thing I ate was some jalapeno poppers. The poppers were really good. That basically marks out the layer dip and the hummus we had. We also made some homemade Key Lime Ice Cream. We originally thought the Ice Cream would not taste like Key Lime. When we finished it, my dad and I high fived each other because it tasted like Key Lime. Our big thing we ate was cheeseburgers for dinner. We also saw someone pass out from a heat stroke. Then it was time for me to go to Mary Kay and Johns house. At their house we played the Wii for about a hour then Mary Kay and John went to bed. I continued to play the Wii until 10:00. The games we played were Mario Kart and Wii Sports. We played Mario Kart together and I played Wii sports by myself. Tomorrow we will be on the road again to Nashville TN.

Moving across town

St Louis Day 3

Today we moved to a different campground all across town. We went to a campground that is close to the Jimmy Buffet concert. My mom went to pick up John, the John from Nashville. We went to the RV for a little bit. Then we went to the hotel where Jim and Shawn are staying. I watched the 4th Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie in their room. The adults were just talking to each other. Then we went to eat at a restaurant. I got some tacos to eat. I also got 1 quesadilla from my mom. I finished my dad’s nachos. I went back to Jim and Shawn’s room and continued watching the movie. The adults talked all the way until midnight. We then left the hotel. I walked outside with my parents and it was pouring down rain. My dad went to go get the car. When we got into the car, my dad was really soaked. We then went to the RV to go to sleep. Tomorrow I will experience tailgating with the Parrot Heads for Jimmy Buffet

Checking out St Louis with freaking out dog and fireworks

St Louis Day 2

Happy 4th of July everyone! Today we ate a big breakfast to start the day. I ate pancakes and had some hash browns. We then just relaxed at the RV in the morning hours. In the afternoon we went sight seeing around the city of St Louis. We first drove around to look a where my dad went to graduate school. We saw the building he took class in and his old apartment building. We then went to the arch. The arch is the symbol of the gateway to the west. For us basically it is the gateway back to the east. We took pictures and sat down at the stairs. We began to hear some fire crackers. The 4th is not the favorite day for dogs. Dogs hate the 4th of July. When Tilley heard the firecrackers, she took off running while dad was on the leash with her. Tilley dragged dad all the way to the middle of the park. I was laughing my head off when it happened. We also went to the old Rams Stadium. #RIPSTLOUISRAMS! I also saw Busch Stadium where the cardinals played. I thought the game was over because everyone started to clear the stands. I saw the game inning and it said it was the bottom of the 8th and the cardinals were down 5-2. Before we did all of this we went to Ted Drew’s. It is a really famous concrete place in St Louis. My dad said he used to come here all the time. For all you NC State fans out there reading this, I saw a person wearing a NC State shirt. After all the sight seeing, we went to Mary Kay and Johns house. We ate some BBQ for dinner. We also played another round of corn hole. We played 3 rounds of corn hole. I only played 2 of the 3 rounds. I won 50% of the games I played. Then John, my dad, and I walked over to the park to watch the fireworks. We first heard some live music from 7:50- 9:25. During that we saw some different types of people. Some people were singing while others were not. Some danced crazy (mostly the adults) and others danced normal. We also saw a smoke bomb go off in the bathroom. Then the fireworks began. There were lots of different types of fireworks. They shot off lots of fireworks. The Grand finale alone was like 100 fireworks shooting off at 1 time. We went back to the house and the RV. Tomorrow it is supposed to rain so we will relax and move campgrounds in St Louis.
