St Louis Day 2
Happy 4th of July everyone! Today we ate a big
breakfast to start the day. I ate pancakes and had some hash browns. We then
just relaxed at the RV in the morning hours. In the afternoon we went sight
seeing around the city of St Louis. We first drove around to look a where my
dad went to graduate school. We saw the building he took class in and his old
apartment building. We then went to the arch. The arch is the symbol of the
gateway to the west. For us basically it is the gateway back to the east. We
took pictures and sat down at the stairs. We began to hear some fire crackers.
The 4th is not the favorite day for dogs. Dogs hate the 4th
of July. When Tilley heard the firecrackers, she took off running while dad was
on the leash with her. Tilley dragged dad all the way to the middle of the
park. I was laughing my head off when it happened. We also went to the old Rams
Stadium. #RIPSTLOUISRAMS! I also saw Busch Stadium where the cardinals played.
I thought the game was over because everyone started to clear the stands. I saw
the game inning and it said it was the bottom of the 8th and the
cardinals were down 5-2. Before we did all of this we went to Ted Drew’s. It is
a really famous concrete place in St Louis. My dad said he used to come here
all the time. For all you NC State fans out there reading this, I saw a person
wearing a NC State shirt. After all the sight seeing, we went to Mary Kay and
Johns house. We ate some BBQ for dinner. We also played another round of corn
hole. We played 3 rounds of corn hole. I only played 2 of the 3 rounds. I won
50% of the games I played. Then John, my dad, and I walked over to the park to
watch the fireworks. We first heard some live music from 7:50- 9:25. During
that we saw some different types of people. Some people were singing while
others were not. Some danced crazy (mostly the adults) and others danced
normal. We also saw a smoke bomb go off in the bathroom. Then the fireworks
began. There were lots of different types of fireworks. They shot off lots of
fireworks. The Grand finale alone was like 100 fireworks shooting off at 1
time. We went back to the house and the RV. Tomorrow it is supposed to rain so
we will relax and move campgrounds in St Louis.
